Maybe if Nick didn’t feel like a freight train had ran him over he would have contributed to the conversation more, giving exact locations and ticking off all the people he thought had been in the health center. Instead he managed a mumbled, “There were at least ten people here,” before he was wincing from the pain that simply speaking sparked through his body. Staying conscious was a bit of a Herculean effort for him, but Nick knew in the back of his mind if he drifted off it would freak Olivia the hell out -- or freak her out more than she already was.
“God, do you have to move me?” Nick's words came out like a whine and he didn't even care. Intellectually he knew that Thomas and Nathan had to moved him in order to go to the hospital, but right now with the way he felt he really would have preferred to stay stationary. Nick looked from Thomas to Nathan, then over to Olivia to give her what he hoped was a “Hey, chill out I’m totally fine.” smile before his gaze shifted over to Savannah, grateful for her presence here as well. Finally he grit his teeth, let his head fall back against the ground again and groaned. “Okay, just make it quick...and I may pass out from the pain.” All said in a kind of paper thin tone, voice rough and the pain he felt clear in every word.
