Savannah felt like all of the blood drained from her face when she first saw Nick lying on the ground, looking like he was really in a state, and after the initial moments of shock, she hurried into action.
"Gonna call whoever is on duty right now. I think it's Thomas, unless he and Jimmy switched shifts again--" Savannah announced, pulling her phone out and scrolling through her contacts. Though the US Government had soldiers patrolling the city, the citizens of the LBJ district weren't so quick to put their entire faith in their ability to keep them safe. Those who had been security officers in the Library had transitioned into district patrols.
She gave Liv a hopefully reassuring squeeze on her arm before taking a few steps away, listening to the phone beginning to ring. It didn't take long for Thomas to answer, and after a brief conversation detailing the basics and the urgency of Nick's injuries she hung up the phone and rejoined Nick, Liv and Nathan.
"He's on his way. He had the station wagon for patrol today. It won't be the prettiest transport but it'll work. Liv, were you meetin' with anyone else? We should check if anyone else was in the health center."
