Olivia & TJ: 9:45AM
“Alright now let's just get straight there wasn't any cheating,” TJ started with a frown. Of that he was sure, and really felt like his name should be cleared. After all, he was really good at making sure not to do anything that would resemble just that, especially after the whole drunken mess that had led to what Babs had apparently told everyone. He gestured up to the scar where his neck met his shoulder. “Got bit, she figured I was on my way out, so she shot me. Thankfully nowhere important, since l didn't die.”
"I mean, I'm glad you're not dead." Olivia crossed her arms, frowning. "But how do you like… Do you just accidentally hook up with someone? Did you fall on her fac? Because I don't really get how there wasn't any cheating. Or did you guys have a disagreement on what exactly counts as cheating?" She was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to accidentally cheat on Maizie, if it was even possible.
Really, TJ wasn't sure how many people Babs had told about him cheating on her, but he only felt the need to clarify it completely with her. If she knew the truth, that was what he cared about. But if this little person was going to point blank ask him for clarification, he wasn't about to leave it hanging. He didn't particularly like his name being associated with something he hadn't done. So he sighed, bringing his hand up to rub the back of his neck.
“They said she was dead - gone out for supplies and the run went bad. I got lost in a bottle for a couple weeks and at the end of it this woman tried to…” He trailed off with another sigh, because being too drunk to really do much about any of it wasn't great, but he'd been mourning. “Nothing happened. I was drunk, she tried to use that to her advantage, then Babs showed up alive and it looked a lot worse than it was. That's all. Which I've told her, since she let me talk to her again.”
"Hmm." She uncrossed and crossed her arms once more, studying him intently. Her neck ached slightly from looking up so much, but she figured it was the price to pay for protecting Babs'.... Something. Olivia wasn't sure what the best word for it was, considering Babs was older than she was, but. "I will take this into deep, deep consideration."
“You do that, half pint.” TJ chuckled, giving a shake of his head. Standing in place in the blazing sun like that, he was starting to feel the heat on his back. It was way too hot to not be in the water, or at least some shade. “I’ll see you around, I'm sure.” With a mock salute given to the tiny girl in front of him, he moved away toward the water and the chance to cool off and not deal with reality for a while.
