Olivia & TJ: 9:45AM
"Yeah, that's true." She'd gone through a little bit of initiation when she'd joined her college track team, but rumor had it that was nowhere near close to what the Hellhound prospects had to go through. "Those guys seem like total douchebags. Like you guys used to be super messy, right? But at least you got over it. It seems totally childish of them." Olivia ignored the fact that some still considered her a child.
“I guess they weren't thrilled with the whole teaming up with the government thing,” TJ replied with a shrug. “Liked the mess more than getting food and supplies like a normal person instead of having to go scavenging around for it.”
"Hey. I mean, back then it wasn't like we had any other way of eating." Olivia wouldn't explicitly describe herself as a defensive person, but she knew no other way to react to any perceived slight against her job as a scout -- even if she didn't do that anymore. "And like, we helped over a thousand people survive for two and a half years." But that wasn't the point, this wasn't about her, so she added, conceding the point just slightly, "But like. I guess I didn't kill anyone to do it."
He paused, pushing his hair back out of his face as he looked over to her. “So. What’d Babs tell you about me?”
"Um, that you guys were married and she caught you with some other woman and beat her up?" Olivia had wanted way more details than that, of course, but then she'd lost Kaleo. SHe still felt guilty about it. "Why?"
And there it was. TJ wasn't surprised that was what Babs would have told someone, but it still made him want to bang his head against a wall to hear it put that way. He grimaced slightly but then rubbed his hand over his face, giving a shake of his head. “Just curious what she said, since you knew who I was.” If that was all Babs had told her, he was surprised the conversation was going along so pleasantly. “She tell you she shot me?”
"No. Definitely not." And yeah, maybe this was pretty pleasant, all things considered, but Olivia's curiosity had gotten the better of her. Besides, Babs was like, way older than she was and could fight her own battles. Clearly, since she'd punched that other woman. She didn't need Olivia protecting her. She also probably didn't need Olivia snooping around for her, but she couldn't concede that much. "Do you want to tell me about that part?"
TJ couldn't help but grin a little at that, because he was gladly to a point where he could joke about what had happened. If he hadn't turned out fine, maybe then he wouldn't have been as prone to bringing it up. “Yeah, not surprised she'd leave that part out,” he said with a chuckle, shaking his head. “Not much to tell about that part. She shot me, I didn't die. Pretty much covers it.”
"Um, what about why?" Olivia found it pretty hard to believe anyone could recover from a gunshot, although logically she guessed it had to be at least a little bit possible. She tilted her head slightly, studying him. "Was it because of the cheating thing?"
