Angel. That was probably about the last thing that Kyle would call himself in his dealings with Emilie and the Ghouls at large. No, he was more like the serpent. A viper in their mist. Plying them with tokens in the form of Prax to gain their favor when all he really wanted in any reality was their destruction. The Ghouls were as much a blight upon themselves as they were Austin and the sooner they were dealt with the better and yet...
He was not completely devoid of empathy toward them. Kyle would do what he had to do, but he did not have to like it, even if he reasoned that he was doing them all a grand favor. It just sucked that people like Emilie ended up like this in the first place, which was just one more in a long list of reasons that he intended to have Sister Slaughter, the one responsible for a lot of the Ghouls, put down.
For now, though, he just gave Emilie a nod and moved to sit down beside her. Where her legs were crossed, he positioned his own straight out as he leaned back against a wall with his hands in his lap. Watching Emilie destroy herself was another thing about all of this that he did not particularly enjoy but at the same time, diverting his eyes or showing any weakness in the face of her depravity would only stir questions he did not wish to be asked of him.
"Yeah, why not", he said as he gave her knee a pat. "It's cooler down here anyway."
