For the most part, the little exchanges that he worked out with Emilie were done out of ceremony more than anything. She rarely had anything that he actually needed, let alone anything that would be of an equivalent value to Prax, especially here in the tunnels. And at her the look in her eyes and the way in which she scurried off to one corner he could tell today would be no different. And probably worse.
As she sought something, anything, practically clawing at her things he appreciated her female form and averted his eyes as she turned toward him, more or less pushing a small bag into his chest. He did not particularly need either item, so it was fortunate for Emilie (or unfortunate, depending on how one viewed the situation) that he was only really after her favor and dependence on him.
"I suppose that will do", he said as he slipped the bag under one arm and reached into his flannel jacket. It was clear that Emilie was about to come unglued and so he did not waste another breathe as he produced a pair of green crystals in his hand that almost seemed to shimmer in the dim lighting. Kyle had more than once thought of the stuff as mankind's kryptonite, as it was surely the case with Emilie, who he handed them over to without hesitation.
"There's more there than last time, so try to make it last and more importantly, keep it to yourself." As he said those last words he had a horrible vision of other Ghouls tearing Emilie apart for the stash, but his expression remained the same, disturbed though he was in that moment.
