Veronica's mind had been all over the place as of late. She was worried about her friend, as well as trying to help anyone who may have sustained damage from the blob rain. Tensions had been high as people tried to protect their homes and themselves. She had been lucky to have only taken minimal impact and managed to stay inside during the heavy fall of blobs. Although she didn't have much, Veronica was always willing to share.
Needing a bit of release, Veronica headed over to the bonfire in the evening. She hadn't been around the fire much these past handful of days, due to a combination of helping others and distractions. Although she had dropped out of high school and never sought education after running away from home, Veronica had become interested in plants. In the early days of the zombies Veronica had managed to maintain a small window garden. But it died quickly after the blister gas was released into the air. Since then, she had only managed to experiment with simple plants, but had been presently considering trying to take up the hobby again. If she could find a way to get vegetation to survive again, Veronica hoped she could offer more to the camp than just her good looks and specific skills.
She arrived a little while after most people gathered around the fire. She first politely smiled and flirted with some of her regulars. Although Veronica never had much ambition when she first started out in the camp, the desire for protection and security pushed her to secure her place just below Kenzie. And Veronica wasn't going to let anyone take that from her.
Spotting Axe, beers in hand, Veronica moved over to where he was and sat down in a lawn chair beside him. "Hey," she said. "Beer for your thoughts? I'd offer a penny, but I don't think it'd be worth anything anymore."
