Nick and Olivia - 12:00PM
When news had finally filtered to Nick that the new food truck in town had in fact come and stationed itself in front of the library (like the LBJ council had discussed with them yesterday) he didn’t waste much time in making his way out there to see if they would in fact follow through on the promise to make him a Juicy Lucy. If he was also looking for Olivia in the process, well, why not kill two birds with one stone?
He had a feeling she was avoiding him after their text conversation -- and by a feeling, it’s more like he knew from experience that she would be making herself scarce. Nick wasn’t going to push her into doing anything she didn’t want to do, but he also wasn't going to let her think her future was gone simply because scouting and running weren’t a thing she could do for a job now. How was it he had become this weird father figure in Liv’s life? Because isn’t this what parents do? Convince their kids they’re so much more talented and capable than they think they are?
Nick was just stepping into line at the food truck when he spotted Olivia and peered off to his right to cross paths with her. “Hey,” he greeted her, half expecting her to sidestep him and continue onto wherever she was heading. “Have a burger with me?” Nick continued. “I have it on good authority they’ll make a Juicy Lucy if asked.” He finished, grinning at her now as he waited for her reply.
