Nick and Bunny - 4:20PM
“That’s me,” Bunny confirmed, returning his smile with her own. It was a little bit of a surprise to be recognized, but then being associated with the possibility of fresh food was enough to make her stick in anyone’s mind. “The greenhouse is finished -- or at least the construction is, there’s still a lot of growing to be done. You’re more than welcome to come see it sometime, though I might just put you to work if you do.” Taking a seat on the opposite side of the small table, she extended a hand to the man who was now across from her. “I’m Bunny, by the way. I probably ought to’ve led with that, so you’ll have to excuse my manners.”
Given what he’d just said about talking with the resource manager, and the fact that she remembered seeing him near the hangars, Bunny felt confident enough to hazard a guess of her own. “Now, if you know Ruth, you must be related to the LBJ’s resources department somehow. Or at least that would be my guess, since I can’t picture her stopping to chat if it didn’t have to do with work.” She’d tried a time or two to engage Ruth in conversation herself, but found it much more difficult than expected.
“I’m afraid I don’t know your name, though,” Bunny added, her smile turning sheepish.
