At the sound of knuckles rapping against the door of the security meeting room, Luc looked up from his work. Several road maps and topographical overviews of the city covered the long meeting table. Luc had been shuffling back and forth between them for close to an hour now. A few extra shufflers had been sneaking close to their perimeter lately, but only from the North. It wasn't anything to be concerned about, just a half dozen or so more than average (and thankfully none had been crawlers or runners) and well within the capabilities of his staff to take care of. Still, the Head of Security thought it might be time to consider nipping the problem in the bud rather than leaving it and hoping the issue stayed manageable for the foreseeable future. He was in the middle of deciding whether or not it was worth sending out a party to investigate where exactly the additional undead were coming from when a tall form filled the doorway.
"Call me Luc," Luc replied after Nathan had introduced himself. He beckoned Nathan to enter as he straightened from his leaning position over the maps. So this was the Savannah's brother that had come home to roost. Luc had been happy for his shelter leader when her brother had arrived all in one piece and even happier for himself when he heard through the grapevine that the elder Posey had some military experience under his belt. He had resolved to try and headhunt him for his security crew but it appeared as if Nathan had beat him to the punch. Luc proffered his hand for Nathan to shake. The man had a nice, firm steady grip; Luc always thought that a good handshake boded well for a person.
"Sure’nuff," he said with a laugh. "For once, the rumors about me are true. I am the man to talk to if you're looking to join the security detail. And, if the rumors I heard about you are true, that's right up your alley."
Luc had to admire the way that Nathan cut to the crux of the matter, taking the initiative and coming down here to see him about a job. Luc had a vastly different temperament than his predecessor in the leadership position and was a bit less formal so he knew he wasn't going to get a read on this guy by simply reading down a laundry list of commendations and medals, though those certainly worked in Nathan's favor. He was already getting a good vibe from this guy but Luc needed, and more so, wanted to get to know his shelter leader's sibling before dealing with the formalities of job placement.
"You liking the LBJ so far?" Luc asked, straightening up his maps a bit. "Everyone treating you alright? I would hate to hear our southern hospitality has been slippin' simply because of a pesky apocalypse."
