She enjoyed the subway station for its lack of regulation and order. She could even accustom herself to the darkness and rancidness of its atmosphere, but it did take its toll after a while. As much as she appreciated the anonymity it provided her, Arden wanted to be able to surface aboveground when she wanted to surface aboveground. She, instead, was stuck in a desolate corner looking outward into the rain. It was stifling, unpleasant, and, most of all, boring.
Fortunately, she now had a fix for it. Her lips curved up into a mischievous smile as she took a single step towards him. “Topolino,” she inquired softly, “you have been here for a while, no?” She nodded in the direction of the tunnels. “Perhaps, you can show me around. We can go for a walk, sì?"
