"Toss....?" Ezra asked, not sure what that meant. But she'd explained last time she used a word that he hadn't understood, so he hoped she would this time, too. Though whatever it did mean, she was likely right. It wasn't like the tunnels were known for their pleasant aroma. It was a matter of getting used to it.
And bathing as often as you could to wash that smell off.
He nodded at her assessment. "There are worse places," he said. Just not many, in his opinion. If he could choose somewhere else to go he would. But that would require leaving Emilie, and he wasn't going to do that.
He shook his head. "Showering," he told her. And, since he was apparently going to have a conversation, he did more than the fewest words possible and added more. "I don't usually walk around shirtless." It showed scars and just wasn't practical. But he'd just gotten done and had wanted to dry off before he put his shirt on, and the cool air felt nice.
