Joel and Kitty - 7:45PM
Kitty made a mental note concerning the information Joel gave her about the woman he had called Rusten. Tall, blonde, pretty, there was no doubt she would stand out in the mostly male dominated APD. “Considering that description I would think not,” she answered with a ghost of a smile.
“And no, I’m not writing a book. Just curious, I haven’t been in the Capitol long enough to feel like I know anyone outside of my family.” Kitty supplied, her smile still in place. Small talk was something she excelled at, a trait she had honed over years of spending time at the many long and almost always boring functions her parents would insist she be present at. “You have you’re whole family here with you, that’s no small blessing.” It was hard not to become aware of the many people who didn’t have even one member of their family anymore, though Kitty could admit she didn’t know what that felt like. Her parents and brothers were all here in the Capitol, a fact she realized now she had taken for granted while living at Fox Grove. “I promise that’s the last of my questions now.” She tacked on, now wishing to subject Joel to more mindless small talk.
She heard the crash as well and gave a small nod. “You probably should,” Kitty agreed, waving off the apologetic tone Joel spoke with. “It was a pleasure meeting you, Lieutenant Kulseth. Now go figure out what terrible thing might have just happened to cause such a crash.” She stopped just short of shooing him away, though the thought did creep through her mind right before Joel turned away from her went in direction the crash had come from.
