Joel and Kitty - 7:45PM
Joel was faintly amused by the forthright way Kitty mentioned flirting. She approached it like a young person who was used to talking with people older than they were, and most definitely wasn’t a topic he expected to fall into their conversation. His amusement faded quickly though, a storm cloud of an expression apparent for a fraction of a second when she mentioned a lack of professionalism within his department. There was no excuse for any of his officers to hassle Kitty in any way, shape or form.
“We’ve got regs that go a little slack,” he admitted, his brows furrowed just enough to create a momentary scowl. “Tell you what though, next time they give you a problem write down their names and follow up with me. I’ll take care of it.” Interdepartmental problems was on a long list of things that they APD couldn’t afford to have. Though it seemed like the numbers that gave a shit about it kept dwindling. “If I’m not around, follow up with Rusten, she’ll pass it along.” He’d bet money that it wasn’t just the green rookies doing it either, with the state the department was in lately.
