Jane and Mina - 1:30 a.m.
Finding herself utterly charmed at Mina's light and relaxed demeanor, Jane let out an amused chuckle.
"Didn't need to caulk it or nothin' to get across the hallway," Jane replied, drawing from her limited "Oregon Trail" knowledge. "Always a good sign of a well-spent evening."
Even though Jane was fairly toasted herself, she was not so far gone that Mina's unsteadiness and reliance of the door frame to keep her upright escaped the police officer's notice.
"You going to be okay getting around tonight?" Jane asked, her voice shifting from tickled to lightly concerned. She wasn't looking to be a nag or a killjoy. She was glad Mina was able to let her hair down for once and didn't want to ruin her friend's night by badgering her with an overabundance of concern.
"Will you at least let me make sure you're set with water and aspirin before I head back to my place?" Jane asked in her least bossy tone. "You'd be doing me a solid, actually. I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night worrying that you're driving the porcelain bus nursing a helluva hangover when I could have done something to prevent it. I want to be able to sleep on my day off tomorrow and I won't be if I'm thinking about you."
