Lita looked around the cafeteria, gaging how much she could say out in the open. Nate seemed sincere, curious, and concerned. Lita could see so much of Savannah in him already and the familiarity was sort of wearing down her resolve to remain skeptical and wary. There was something about the way he spoke and the crinkle around his eyes called to Lita's best friend even if physically the siblings were very different from one another. Tall where Savannah was short, brunette where Savannah was blond, muscular where Savannah was curvy; Lita would have to be blind not to see that Nathan was obviously hot, even if her mind wasn't in that sort mindset.
"Savannah is the shelter leader," Lita confirmed. "She'll tell you she took over when Gray died but I'm not afraid to tell you she's the one that's held that place together from the get go." The pride on Lita's voice was evident; she felt it was important that Nathan known how strong Savannah was and how crucial she was to her shelter and to it's people.
"The LBJ is an independent shelter," Lita said, because it was better to make Nathan aware of the politics right off the bat. "That is to say, they don't receive assistance therefore aren't under the purview of the Capitol, like the hospital is. That makes her admirable to a lot of people but on the flip side, that also makes her and the LBJ a target of sorts. She's surrounded herself with really capable people to help her run things but she's definitely the head honcho."
