Young love...or young lust at least Who: Sasha Whittaker and Bea Rodriguez, with a later appearance of Vic Scherbatsky Where: Max and Sasha’s Airstream What: Sasha and Bea almost hook up When: Backdated to February 8th, 2019 - after Teagan’s appointment
Their exam on the pregnant woman, Teagan, had gone pretty well as far as Bea was concerned. It was fascinating to see Pete so in the zone, an authority in his given field, and also invigorating. She could see first hand the kind of difference they could make and it felt good. It didn’t mean she was suddenly a Hellhound fangirl, but everyone deserved medical care.
With Pete off one way and Lita off in another direction, Bea was left to her own devices. Which normally wouldn’t be an issue because she was outgoing as they came, but… she really needed to use the bathroom. Going back to Teagan didn’t seem like a good option because hopefully the woman was getting some of the rest that Pete prescribed. So she turned to option B and began walking through the chaotic maze of the Dog Park, hoping to find someone who might point her in the right direction.
And that was how she found herself paused in front of a awesomely retro Airstream, raking her fingers through her hair, trying to decide which way she should turn at the next fork.
The Dog Park wasn't so large that newcomers went unnoticed and word had gotten around that the doctors who had helped during the Cat attack were back and checking up on people. Sasha hadn’t personally had any reason to stop by and see said doctors, so he had remained in Noa’s tattoo shop, tinkering away on artwork and doing whatever it was Noa needed him to do that day. Of course he still wasn’t allowed to tattoo actual people, but he was patiently biding his time until he was given the go ahead to do that.
But without anymore to do and with Noa having taken her leave for the day, Sasha had packed up his stuff and decided to head back to the Airstream. Which as it would turn out was kind of the perfect decision, because the sight that met him as he approached his home was definitely a welcome one for the mildly (or not so mildly) girl-crazy teenager.
“Let me go out on a limb here and guess that you’re lost?” Sasha came to a stop near the girl and as subtly as possible let his gaze travel over her. She was attractive and also a face he didn't recognize - which when it came to girls in the Dog Park was always a bonus, that meant he might have a chance with her. “Or you're just admiring the view, granted it's not much of a view.” It took everything within Sasha not to go straight to flirting with the girl, for all he knew she wasn’t interested…or even friendly.
“That obvious, huh?” Bea asked with a laugh. Moving her hands down to rest at her hips, she gave the boy in front of her a curious glance -- He was cute. Mostly likely younger than her, but probably not by much. And he was checking her out as she checked him out, so that was always interesting. -- then continued, “Honestly, I was looking for a bathroom but this place doesn’t seem to have any rhyme or reason to it, so one wrong turn, and here I am.”
Smiling widely, she added, “I’m Bea, by the way.”
If Sasha wasn’t mistaken -- and he was pretty sure he wasn’t -- the girl standing in front of his Airstream had totally just checked him out. Score! He was going to run with this for as long as he could, because it wasn’t like fate deposited pretty girls on his doorstep every day. “A little bit,” Sasha answered with a laugh of his own. When she admitted that she had been looking for a bathroom there was a part of him -- a really big part -- who saw an opportunity to help her out and possibility earn a little more time with her. “Does it surprise you that the Dogs don’t have any rhyme or reason to their camp? And you’re in luck,” He paused only long enough to step up to the Airstream and open the door.” Because this happens to be my trailer and there happens to be a working bathroom in it.” Sasha was still holding the the door open as the girl -- Bea -- introduced herself.
With a bright smile of his own, he replied. “Nice to meet you, Bea,” before he added. “I’m Sasha.” Now it was just a matter of waiting to see if Bea would take his invitation to use the bathroom in the Airstream, or if she would decline out of fear of entering some strange dude’s trailer or something.
“Now that I know your name it’s totally acceptable for me to take you up on that offer to use the bathroom. I’ll be right back,” she grinned, and moved past him to enter the airstream. It wasn’t as if it was a big space, so she located the bathroom easily enough. After doing what she needed to do, she went back to the main area, smiling again.
A bemused expression had been Sasha’s only response to Bea’s remark about knowing his name making it acceptable to take him up on the offer. Maybe he was jaded, but he kind of thought there should be more criteria before entering some strange dude’s home. He wasn’t going to argue with her though, because it wasn't exactly like pretty girls were coming and going from the Airstream all the time -- at least not pretty girl’s he had any shot with. While he waited for Bea to reemerge from the bathroom, Sasha settled himself down on the couch that also doubled as his bed. Rising up again when Bea came out and held her hand out to him.
“I’m much better now, you’re a lifesaver. And now I can act like I have better manners. So, Sasha, it’s nice to meet you too,” she said, reaching her hand out to shake.
“Compared to half the people in this place your manners before were exemplary,” Sasha remarked with a laugh, shaking Bea’s hand before shoving his hands into his pockets. “Ah, do you have somewhere you need to be now?” It wasn’t smooth, not by a long shot, but he didn’t want to assume she had some time to get to know him -- even if he wanted nothing more than to get to know the attractive medical intern.
Though Sasha pulled his hand back, Bea didn’t move away from him and instead stayed firmly in his “bubble” as she looked up at him, smiling. “No, not really. I sorta got ditched by my boss and it’s not like I’m just going to sit around, twiddling my thumbs, waiting for him to come back,” she laughed.
“Why? Are you that eager to get rid of me?” She asked, looking up at him through her lashes. Even though she’d literally just met Sasha, and they were at the Dog Park, she couldn’t deny that he was cute. Because there was nothing wrong with a little harmless flirting. And that was a fact.
“Sounds like your boss is an idiot if he had the nerve to ditch you,” Sasha remarked making no move to step back and put any kind of space between him and Bea. “And hell no.” He added while he peered down at her and tried to work out in his head just exactly how he could or should make his next move. Would she full on punch him if he just went all in and kissed her right now?
Deciding that personal harm to himself was probably worth it to at least give kissing Bea a shot, Sasha gave no warning, nor did he ask permission before he ate up the last of the space between them and ducked his head to press his lips to hers. The kiss was quick, Sasha just testing the waters, really. Even so his hands unconsciously settled on her hips and he didn’t step away once he broke the kiss, dark eyes studying Bea for some kind of reaction or sign that he should maybe be running for his life now.
“Sorry, I just had to do that,” Sasha remarked quietly with a small smile. “Would have kicked myself later if I hadn’t.”
“And I would have kicked you if you didn’t do that,” Bea said with a laugh. Tucking some hair behind her ear, she paused a moment before leaning in again to catch Sasha in another kiss. Despite not knowing each other on a personal level, she was already enjoying getting to know him in a physical way.
Moving her arms around his middle she pulled him in closer, deepening their kiss.
Sasha barely had time to laugh softly at Bea’s reply before she was pulling him in for another kiss, and well, he wasn’t exactly going to interrupt it to make some comment about how he’d totally have let her kick him. Instead he looped an arm around her waist and began walking them both backwards towards the couch that doubled as his bed. When the back of his legs bumped against the couch/bed, lowered himself down onto it and pulled Bea with him.
His hands tentatively began to explore, one drifting low on her back, hesitant as to where the line was drawn and what Bea might be okay with. The other stayed settled on her hip and when it began to get to a point where Sasha knew he would need to break the kiss for air, so with his chest rising and falling rapidly he broke the kiss and in a rush of words asked. “Is this o-” though he never managed to finish them as the Airstream’s door was flung open and a looming figure that could only be one person entered.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” Sasha exclaimed in both surprise and annoyance. "You gotta be kidding me," Vic retorted, hands on his hips.
Word had spread fast among Sasha's family that something -- or someone -- was going down in the Airstream, and luckily he arrived just in time to put a stop to it. He didn't necessarily mind the idea of Sasha finding someone to schmooze, but he expected Sasha to tell him as much before things got to this point. Besides, Vic didn't even know this girl or how they'd even met.
The girl in question was quickly making her leave, at least; Vic turned his head to make sure it was a real exit, not some 'I'm gonna pretend to leave and then come back in once your dad's gone' kinda thing, before he turned his attention back to Sasha. "The hell?"
With Bea’s exit Sasha knew any chance of getting laid tonight exited with her and so the look that graced his features as he turned his attention to his dad was one of teenage annoyance and displeasure. “Pretty sure I don’t need to explain myself now,” Sasha grumped. “Since you stopped whatever might have happened.” He tacked on while he stretched out on the couch/bed and threw an arm over his eyes. “Congratulations, my love life is still non-existent.”
It was dramatic, more dramatic than Sasha usually was -- but he had literally just watched a gorgeous woman leave his trailer, and who wouldn’t be a little dramatic after that? At least he knew how his evening wasn’t going to go now.
