Dani nodded. “Doctors, nurses, physician’s assistants, phlebotomists, lab assistants,” here she gestured to herself, “all require the proper training. You wouldn't allow someone to walk off the street and start operating on patients without verifying their credentials. But there are plenty of jobs that don't require special qualifications, too.” There was no more time for further discussion, though, as the pair arrived at their destination. Just as well, since Nathan would be leaving in the morning, making any insight Dani could have given him on the topic worthless. He didn't need a job at the UMCB.
Nathan had a brilliant smile, the kind that just invited whoever saw it to reply with one their own, and Dani suspected he possessed complete awareness of the influence it typically had on people. However, she simply nodded, agreeing with his assessment of the situation. “You're right. I'll get there faster on my own.”
Turning to head back to the proper floor for the lab, she paused a few steps down the stairs to look back up at Nathan. Friendliness was a language she didn't speak fluently, but even Dani knew she ought to add something else before parting. “I imagine you'll be fine, since you have people waiting for you, but still -- good luck.”
