Josh could only shake his head indulgently as Nora described the pranks she pulled on her sister. "Oh, yeah, very," he said seriously, and then snacked on a chip, which produced a very satisfactory crunch. "If I ever pulled anything like that, my dad would've kicked my ass so hard I'd probably still be feeling it." In case it wasn't obvious, Josh added for good measure, "Lucia was always my dad's favorite, since she was the only girl. You should've seen her quinceanera. I was always the one my parents never really worried about." Josh shrugged.
And then promptly smirked when Nora finally admitted defeat. "You can try again later," he waved a hand dismissively. "It's nice just to talk to someone. I feel like every time I step out of my trailer, someone tries to seduce me. And it's not always the women." Josh said with slight exasperation. He loved living at the Dog Park. He loved being a patch. He just really missed the privacy of his own apartment sometimes. Where he could hide away for days at a time, with no one to talk to unless he ventured out purposefully. The Dog Park was like a village. And a village meant everyone knew everyone's business all the time. And it was kind of exhausting sometimes.
