"Well, all right, then. It's officially going on my movies-to-watch list." Josh assured her. When he'd have the chance to work through his list, he had no idea, but if those people at the Capitol managed to get a DVD player and projector working, maybe they'd be able to get one here, too. Yeah. That's definitely going to be one of his side-projects. Erik could probably help, too, if he was bored enough.
Josh pouted when Nora started teasing him again. He didn't remember her being so snarky at the diner, but then again, they hadn't interacted much other than placing an order. And she was being paid to be nice to him. "I'm not sure if I like the real Nora. All she does is make fun of me and eat my salsa." As soon as the words left his mouth, though, Josh regretted it. He sounded whiny, and his brother always told him he needed to toughen up. He was a Hellhound, for Christ's sake. You'd think he knew how to let the punches roll right off his back.
He did frown in sympathy, though, when Nora talked about her car in the past tense. That was a shame, losing a car. It was like losing an arm, or a pet, in some ways. Or, at least, that's how Josh thought of them, particularly since he'd never been allowed to have any pets. They wouldn't have been able to afford feeding it. "Basically," Josh agreed, nodding. "What can I say? For once, being a nerd is something I can use to my advantage."
