Bishop/Marina --> Demi/Marina (just arriving)
The whole Dog Park was buzzing with the excitement of the upcoming ceremony. Bishop couldn’t remember the last time they’d had an official wedding, and it sure as hell had never been one of the officers. Births, marriages, it seemed as if slowly things were righting themselves. Sure, the Dog King was still kidnapped and god knows where, but those that were at the park were remembering what life was about -- less war and fighting and more seizing every day as if it might be their last.
Bishop could say without a shadow of a doubt he was excited for the bride and groom. Vic had long since been one of his closest friends (if not his closest among the officers and patches) and in the time that Marina had been a part of the Dog Park they had struck up a friendship, one he valued very much -- and not just because she gave him a hand with his little moonshine operation.
So while Bishop would spend much of his day with Vic while his friend got ready, he wanted to nab Marina before she was whisked off to the cathouse and kept out of sight until the ceremony. Which was why he showed up at the RV the bride and groom-to-be shared and decided that he would offer to walk her over to the space she’d be preparing in.
There wasn’t any sign of her outside the RV, so Bishop wrapped his knuckles against the door and called out. “Hello?” He paused. “Marina?” If she wasn’t inside the RV he would look elsewhere for her, determined to catch her before the chaos of the day truly began.
A clatter could be heard from outside the RV as Marina jumped at the noise and knocked over her makeup bag. “Just a sec--” she called, hastily shoving the different eyeshadows and mascara back into the bag. She was working on compiling everything she’d need to get ready, but she’d never been married before and honestly had no clue what the hell she would need. So, it was safe to say that she was basically grabbing everything.
Once she’d set it on the counter, she called out again, “Coming now,” just so her visitor didn’t think she’d forgotten about them and walked over. Pushing the door open, she grinned at the face on the other side.
“Not that I’m not glad to see you, but Vic’s not here. He left a little bit ago to walk over to the Chapel.”
Of course Bishop had heard the clatter from inside and felt a fraction of guilt over likely having been responsible for whatever had happened, it didn’t stop him from smirking at Marina when she opened the door and announced that Vic wasn’t there. “What makes you think I’m here for Vic?” He asked with laughter evident in his tone. “I wanted to snag some time with you before you become Mrs. Scherbatsky,” Bishop continued with his usual brand of honesty.
He and Marina had been friends long before she had taken up with Vic, hell, Bishop considered her a part of the mish-mash family he’d cobbled together for himself in this park. Which meant he’d be remiss if he didn’t take a moment or two to have a heart to heart with Marina on her big day. “You got time for me? Or are you going to send me on my way to Chapel?” That was admittedly where Bishop would be headed next, but that didn’t mean he wanted to make that trip just yet. “Thought I could walk you over to the cathouse if you’re ready to head that way.”
“Don’t be an idiot,” Marina grinned, “Of course I’m not going to send you packing. In fact, I could use some help hauling all this shit over to the Cat House so you showed up at a good time.” Obviously that wasn’t the only reason she was glad to see him, but it was pretty convenient.
Bishop found himself grinning as well, apparently the bride’s mood was contagious. “You know I’d put up some kind of stink about being put to work, except it’s your wedding day and I think there’s some rule that you get whatever you want on that day,” He would have helped Marina with her stuff without being asked, that was just how he was -- but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t joke about it a little.
“Think you can handle carrying my makeup and hair shit? I’d let you carry my suit but I hear women go fucking insane about what they wear on their wedding day, so in order to be a true cliche, I better make sure it gets there in one piece myself,” she smirked.
