They were slow. That was a good thing. These geeks were lurkers. They ambled. They lurched. "Spread out." she told him. "We need to get at 'em one at a time." No time for vomiting. No time for panic. Teagan was making calculated decisions. Trying to play chess with a board of things that wanted to eat her.
Moving away from Graham, half of the group followed her. She used the screwdriver, stabbing it in the eye socket of the one closest to her. When it fell, finally dead, she jerked the screwdriver back and continued to dispose of the zombies that she could get to, without being surrounded. She'd save the bullets for now.
As she beat the skulls in of creatures, she kept looking back at Graham, seeing how he was doing, trying to get done with the her group and hoping to quickly, quietly and efficiently.
"How are you doing!?" she called out to him. "Just remember! They're stupid!!"
