Busy within the bus when Nate backed the truck up alongside it, Bunny did little more than peek out a window to reassure herself that he'd arrived in one piece before getting back to the task at hand. When Nate didn't come in right away, she didn't spare a moment for worry -- he was inside the camp now, and there wasn't a thing that would cause him harm within their walls. He would come rambling in sooner or later and tell her all about his trip into the city, the words rolling out in that Scottish brogue of his that always made her think of rocks worn smooth by the Cumberland River.
"I can't imagine what on earth has got you laughing so hard." Treading light on her feet over to his side, Bunny looked down at Nate. There wasn't anything but fondness in her expression as she regarded him, her eyes bright with good cheer and her cheeks rosy from working over the camp stove. After a moment she held out a hand to help him up.
"Come on inside and we'll get some dinner in you. I want to hear all about where you went and whether you found anything worth bringing back."
