Nina gave a short nod to confirm what they both already knew. There was no reason to hide the fact that they'd spoken to each other, after all, and the subject of their conversation certainly made her curious about whether Jane was aware of the liberties that had been taken a few months ago.
"That's true," Nina said, choosing to only say as much as she needed to until given reason otherwise. They were in an open hallway, after all, and her faithful Patrolmen companions were still standing off to the side, watching the exchange impatiently.
The height difference didn't concern her; Nina simply tilted her head up and raised one eyebrow expectantly. "Do you not trust your partner's word on the matter?"
