Who:Addie and Teagan
What:Catching up and Charlie hand-me-downs
When:February
Where: Dog Park
"Are you sure you don't want to keep any of these?" Teagan's gingerly tracing the blue tugboat on one of Charlie's old jumper. Addie's brought over baby clothes, clothes that Charlie no longer fits into and clothes that without a doubt that the two babies inside of her will be able to.
There's so much going on here, so much that can't be vocalized because it is too painful. It's a heap of regrets. Teagan has nothing of her past life, nothing of Sarah and the family she had given up everything for. What she had kept had been blown up along with her trailer. For so long she'd wondered if she shouldn't just move on from her treasured mementos and leave them somewhere she wouldn't have to be reminded of the loss constantly but now that the choice was made for her there is an emptiness there that she can't fill in. No matter how many new memories she tries to make the absence of that piece of her is glaring.
She can't even remember their faces anymore. Sometimes in dreams she can but then when she wakes up it's all blank again.
"I can't believe how much he's grown. You should keep something, one of your favorites..." So what, maybe she doesn't care that she's revealing her nostalgic views. At least not to Addie. If anyone knows Nostalgic it has to be the sister of the most nostalgic guy she knows.
Fuck if she doesn't miss that sorry son of a bitch more and more each day. If she wasn't as rotund as she is she'd be out there searching for Rodeo, doing something but she can't risk it. Oh, she's tried to get up, to move around, and it had been a risky and stupid endeavor. One that she learned real quick not to do again. Stress is not a pregnant woman's friend.
