Part 2 - A month later
Bishop listened as Teagan spoke, the ghost of a smirk turning up the corner of his mouth at the last thing she said. “Can they really be considered nocturnal if they ain’t got any clue what time they are?” Or maybe they did, truthfully Bishop didn’t know much about babies while they were still in the womb. Wasn’t something he ever really thought he would need to know, having never seen fatherhood in his future.
He could understand feeling restless, maybe they were already taking after him in that respect because hadn’t he just been laying in bed tossing and turning because sleep was evading him?
“Are they always like this?” Bishop questioned from his spot on the stairs, curiosity keeping him from falling into the usual silence that seemed to have been hanging between himself and Teagan since her return. “Or do they let you rest from time to time?” He continued his voice still quiet and gruff from sleep -- or lack of it really.
