Torrie hasn’t lived in the tunnels as long a she has and not developed a thick skin to what sounds like an insult. What she does do is remind herself that for some reason or another Solomon thought this woman was worth helping, and that keeps her from letting her tongue get the better of her. Well, that and the fact that she thinks this Hound could still tear her to pieces if she wanted, pregnant or not.
“But you still thought I was worth sweet talking,” Torrie points out, mouth curving into something of a smile, but probably comes off as mockery. She glances around the car, wishes for a minute that Jo was there, because it would have saved her all this talk to begin with. “So if you think I’m not worth anything it just makes you stupid for trying in the first place.” So maybe her tongue isn’t completely controlled after all.
She would’ve headed for the door already, except the Dog is between her and exit. “Anything you want Solomon to know?”
