Teagan knows they all 'doubted' but that word is so fucking thin. Doubting either way was still breaking the loyalty she had built to have like it was tinder. The looks on their faces that day, in Rodeo's words, in Bishop's eyes. No amount of back peddling is going to erase that feeling of distance she will always have now. She's been branded the rat and in some capacity every single one of them had believed she could be.
There is nothing she can say now that wouldn't be a hindrance. There is nothing she can offer that wouldn't seem and taste as bitter sweet as being here is.
So she says nothing. When she closes her eyes she can see it on their faces when the police let her go. Can see the way that Bishop looked away from her when he couldn't believe she was innocent any more.
Instead she focuses on the things she can change. The things that she can do something about. "You still have no idea who took him?
