Nate had been glued to the binoculars ever since the explosion rumbles under their feet. Back and forth he surveyed the direction they should be coming but so far nothing.
"Not yet." he doesn't stop looking. He's looking for one person in particular and he doesn't know if he can stop twitching until he sees that tuft of hair with shaved sides come up over the horizon.
He'd wanted to tape this, to document it but logistically it didn't make sense to. If things went wrong then he couldn't be fumbling with his equipment and he wasn't prepared to leave it behind. He had more work to do with it. He's also second guessing bringing Bunny along. For all her calming soothing effect she has on him, it's negated by the worry he had for her. He'd stuff her in the back of the truck if she'd let him.
