It's a relief when the rest of the officers came into view, trailing behind Demi. Bishop isn't a man who believed in luck often, but between Dr. Wagner providing a distraction so that he could slip away from the CO’s, meeting up with Vic rather quickly and now this? He was convinced that there was as real possibility that luck was on their side today. Although he wasn't about to go betting money on it.
The rest of the officers still look a little worse for wear - hell, he and Vic didn't look much better - a couple of hours wouldn't change that. What had changed was the look in everyone’s eyes, there was a spark of something - hope maybe? Now they were driven by a goal, a mission, to get the hell out of this place and it would seem Demi was their current guide.
“Happy to see you too, Vic,” Demi remarked as she slipped by the two officers who had just joined them. Bishop could tell she wanted to say more, probably wanted to grab hold of their Enforcer - he knows what their relationship was like. But now isn't the time for long hugs and relief over reunions they thought might never come.
Bishop moved towards the back of their little ragtag group, content to allow Demi to lead and the other officers to be in closer proximity to her. “So where we going?” Bishop asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. His question would go unanswered though as a two CO’s turned the corner ahead of them. It didn’t appear as if the two uniformed men had been on any kind of search for them, instead it looked as if they were simply on their way to the commotion and got lucky….or unlucky depending on the outcome of what this little showdown in the hallway.
