Kenzie glanced up from her sewing and grinned at Marcus but didn't say anything to his first comment. She wasn't sure if he would amount to anything in the Dog Park, but for now she wasn't going to knock having him around. He was pretty useful with his pack of medications and medical supplies. It was a slap in the face for her but everyone needed medical attention at some point in the camp, even if it was just for the aching bones of the old biddies.
"Careful there. A girl might think you're tryin' to flirt with her," she playfully warned. Liam chimed in, babbling loudly up at Marcus as he grabbed ahold of Marcus's pant leg with his little fists and pulled himself up. Chubby little fingers tugged gently at the pant leg as Liam tried to answer Marcus. When he was done with the Spanish man, Liam started coasting around the room, exploring their trailer like it was all brand new to him. When his little hands got ahold of a large spindle of thread that Kenzie had on the couch next to her, it made a bee line to his mouth. A few seconds later the spindle was spit out and thrown across the room.
Kenzie paid attention only out of the corner of her eye as the toddler did his thing and reveled in the attention that Marcus was giving him, even if it was minute. "You gonna stay the night at least? The two of us don't make for such awful company. And he seems to like you." Kenzie shrugged. She hadn't had a man stay in the trailer with her since her brothers salvaged something of their own to live in and let her have the place with Liam. A guest that didn't want to just rip her clothes off for even a night seemed like a nice change of pace, even if her expression and body language weren't very revealing.
