Every day I sit and wonder how my life it used to be
WHO: Sol and Teagan
WHERE: The Tunnels, Jo's
WHAT: An unlikely meeting, and just when Teagan was looking for the sun.
WHEN: January 5th, Afternoon. Hard to tell.
It was so dark down here. Even with the light band-aided to buzz on it wasn’t ever bright enough and it wasn’t helping that Teagan was in the depths of her own despair. She’s keeping on. She isn’t a quitter. Here she is with the lives inside of her, getting through the days - the drudgery of slogging through without her people.
It doesn’t ever go away. That feeling, that heartache. Every time she closes her eyes she can see their faces. Bishop looking down, his eyes torn from her, the look of hurt on his face.
She can hear Rodeo
It was you?
No, T-- How could you?
How could you?
How could you?
They hated her and how could they not. If they did think that she was their great betrayer then of course they wanted nothing to do with her. The distance can’t have been good. Them locked in with Sonny. She’s sure he hasn’t said anything…hasn’t revealed his true face.
Of course she’s met others. Jo had become a dear friend. It was strange to think how a person could be your fiercest enemy and then like a sister just like that. And this unexpected turn was perhaps, like the two children inside of her, one of the hopeful things that had kept her going. That her loves, her boys and everyone else at the Dog Park could be hers again…someday.
Jo has given her access to Virgil’s notes and documents and Teagan had been pouring through. There has to be something here for her to discover. If there is something she could get and use to prove her innocence it would be miraculous but so far, she hasn’t found anything that is obvious.
And that’s what she’s doing when there is a knock on the door. It couldn’t be Jo and obviously she’s cautious. The Cat’s wouldn’t knock but Roman would, or the rest of her crew [prior]. They’d knock and when she answered they’d take her out then and there…
Before she gets to the door she tucks a knife in the back of her pants and takes her gun along for the walk as well. She tries to have a peek but she can’t see who it is.
She opens the door with the gun drawn…
