"If a stiff breeze blows in here you would drop like a sack of potatoes," Lita says drolly. "So excuse me if I don't feel like designating one hand for punching and one hand for holding in your innards as being a particularly effective defensive maneuver."
Lita needs to change Sarge's dressing, so she starts moving around the room, collecting whatever meager supplies available to her to try and clean his wound and give him a fresh bandage. She's not entirely sure he's speaking to her or simply thinking out loud but Lita doesn't miss his comment about Addie being sore about his getting stabbed; she smirks inwardly despite herself. It sounds true enough to Adelaide's character. Lita's setting up her gauze, tape and antiseptic on a tray next to the bed when Sarge quietly asks if she'll pass a message on to James' sister. Lita is surprised; surprised that he asked her of any sort of favor and surprised at the nature of the favor itself. It's innocuous enough and completely understandable; Lita meets Sarge's gaze and nods.
"If you let me change your dressing with minimal complaints and promise me that you won't leave this infirmary until I give the go ahead," Lita stipulates. "...then yes. I'll get your message to Adelaide."
