tw: sexual abuse
A sinking feeling sets in the pit of Isaac's stomach, though he does his best not to let just how betrayed he feels show. Hadn't he asked Demi if she had a phone? Hadn't he promised her that if she had one that he would get rid of it, no questions asked? He'd tried to prevent this very thing from happening and she'd assured him that it would never be an issue. Demi probably thinks him such a fool for believing her lies.
Despite how angry he is at Demi for lying to him, the Warden's words have him even more infuriated. How dare that bastard act as if his guards are the real victims in this situation? He can somewhat understand their concern, thinking that he might accidentally give Demi information about the Hellhounds, but that just isn't the case. It's true that his feelings are conflicting and while he is fully supportive of Olinger's desire to locked the raiders up and throw away the key, he can't pretend that he's seen 'justice' taken too far all too often lately.
"I want to see the Hellhound officers locked up just as much as you do, gentlemen. I've lost way too many friends and coworkers to those bastards to have any sympathy towards them," he says, grip tightening on his coffee mug, before continuing, "But with all due respect, Warden, Demi is no threat to me. If I were in a situation where I was being tormented and sexually abused by prison guards, I would get violent as well. The emotional duress she experienced while under your supervision will last far longer than any injury she gave any of your guards."
