Isaac appears to be amicable at least, which is a good sign to Olinger. If he had come in guns blazing, demanding to know where his little Dog-bitch has gone, it would be a different story entirely. But Isaac is unwaveringly reasonable, even in the face of what might be viewed as a particular injustice against him. He is willing to see the logic behind it all before he draws his conclusions. It is a rare trait, and one Olinger appreciates immensely. Perhaps this wait was a test-- he has little doubt that Ms. Clarke may have informed her coworker already of the Hound Whore's whereabouts, but Isaac has patiently waited for the dawn and now patiently waits for an explanation and Olinger must say that it looks as if Isaac has passed this test with flying colors.
"Mornin', Callahan," Reason nods, his tone even and without inflection.
"Cream? Sugar?" Olinger asks Isaac, awaiting his response before handing over the coffee accordingly to his seated guest. He tops off his and Reason's cup before returning to his seat, crossing his short legs and sinking against the seat back. "Well. I'm sure you're already aware of why we are here."
"The woman you been fosterin'-- Demi Rafferty, am I right?" Reason pauses, looking to Olinger.
"Yes, Warden," Olinger confirms.
"We have reason to believe that Ms. Rafferty is a threat to the security of this shelter. Of course we knew her loyalties were likely compromised, but after weeks of observation we noticed she seems to come and go at will, often without escorts. Mr. Callahan, I do believe that the arrangement made for her release stipulated that she be remanded under your supervision." Warden Reason reaches into the pocket of his crisp gray blazer, drawing out a cellphone. "After Ms. Rafferty left the Capitol unescorted to attend a gathering at the Lyndon B. Johnson Library at which Hellhounds and their sympathizers were present, it was decided by the Mayor and myself that her continued free range to roam was too great of a risk to take, particularly durin' this sensitive trial about to get underway with the Hellhound top Dogs. Upon her arrest we discovered this here phone on her person. You recognize this particular device, Mr. Callahan?"
