Demi x Nina
Nina didn't even bother to hide the way her face fell at Demi's words, her happy expression at the sight of her friend forming something clearly horrified at the thought of what Demi had just experienced. If it had been any other minor infraction, Nina would have pointed out that Rose Paulsen certainly hadn't known what she'd been doing. This, though, is more than minor.
"Good job not doing that." It wasn't sarcasm, either, though Nina's said those words many times to Demi with that kind of tone lacing her words. This time, she's entirely serious. She glanced over to Rose, an irritated look flashing on her face, before she remembered that she'd been asked a question.
"You know, it's been all right." Nina stepped closer and lowered her voice. "I suppose that relatively speaking, it could be a hell of a lot worse. I'm half expecting them to roll out some kind of ironic puppet show as a more-blatant celebration of what they're really getting at."
