WHO: Day and Babs WHERE: Roof of the LBJ WHAT: Chatting, boozing, and enjoying the quiet of the night together. WHEN: Thursday evening on November 6th at 9:50 PM.
Jadyn never thought the day the Hellhounds got arrested would become a source of stress for her.
But it'd happened and now it was an extra thing on top of a list of other things to stress over. LBJ had finally managed to break away from the Capitol completely for good today after two years of reliance. No longer would the scouts have to work their asses off to find double the supplies just to get water for the shelter. But Day had an extremely good feeling that Olinger wasn't going to simply let it be. He was going to want to know where they were getting their water from now. He might even send his men to track their movement. If he found out they were getting water from the Dog Park, she could bet her life that he was going to use the knowledge to take a strike at the shelter. It was no secret that he coveted LBJ for himself. He'd been aiming for it right from the start.
Without even the remote chance of a strong backup from the Dogs now, Jadyn was going to have to count on her guards to keep the excursions to and from Hellhound territory as low key as possible. The mayor was most likely going to be watching them like a hawk and she couldn't risk any chances. It was times like these when she wished Gray was still here, but that was a thought she couldn't afford following. Not without pain anyway. Popping off the cork to a bottle of whiskey, Day poured Babs a glass before she moved onto her own. They were up on the rooftop of the LBJ after another long day of work. She'd been venturing out more and more lately, overseeing the water transport and helping with supply hunts. It was better she than the scouts out there on the streets.
"How was your day?" She asked, setting the bottle on the floor, "Heard you went out." She rested her forearms on the ledge as she cradled her drink between her fingers.
