Avery & Bea; making friends with zombies
The group had only been travelling for a day but it felt like a life time. Avery was used to spending hours alone in the wasteland, free to choose where she could go and when. Thus, being forced to stay close to, not only the bus, but the group was getting to her. Sure, they were stopping and exploring but Avery was still feeling claustrophobic. Logic didn't apply to this train of thought, she just needed to get away and explore on her terms. Which is why when they stopped in Johnson City, Avery was the first off the bus and although she stuck around for a bit it didn't take her long to disappear.
Johnson City was less of a city and more of a town but semantics didn't stop Avery. She broke into a few houses and picked up little trinkets she stuffed idly into her bag. Things were relatively untouched here and it felt like Christmas morning. On the fridge in one of the houses was a flyer and Avery shoved it into pocket and took off to find Bea.
"Want to go exploring?" she whispered, her tone almost excited when she found Bea. "We can play tourists," Avery pulled the crumpled piece of paper from her pocket and showed it to Bea. "Bring back a souvenir for the people at LBJ. It'll be fun." Which was always a dangerous word coming from Avery. Her idea of fun seldom lined up with that of other peoples idea of it.
