With a bright smile, Demi shakes her head ‘no’ as Isaac looks down at her. It's swift, the way her hand comes up and pinches Isaac’s arm in response to the ‘a little dramatic’ remark. Nothing is said beyond that, because soon enough her beau and her friend are talking about their work and she's thanking her lucky stars she never had a job that required more than filling out costume orders for her students.
And even then she handed that job off to just about anyone she could. Paperwork and Demi were in fact not things that mixed well.
Rising up from the couch as Lita began making her way towards the door, Demi laughed. “This is the part where I promise to answer my messages, right?” It was said as a joke, but mentally she was already making a reminder for herself not to spook the other woman like that again. Nobody should be subjected to a trip to the Capitol unless they absolutely wanted to be there. “And maybe next time we'll make it a night out, head over to White Trail and make Isaac the envy of every man in the place when he walks in with us.” A clear ploy to get her friend to take a break.
“In all seriousness, we really should go out sometime,” Demi said, a small smile turning up her mouth. “If for no other reason than to make sure you don't get swallowed alive by work,” She added while pulling Lita into a hug. “And bars are the best place to find a guy to help mend a broken heart. You know, get back on the horse and all that jazz.” Demi finished quietly, releasing her friend from the quick hug and stepping back to allow her to leave.
