Isaac snorted in amusement. He could see why Lita and Demi were friends. They both had a quick remark at the ready and both too sassy for their own good. Usually with such strong personalities together, it could be explosively bad but the other end of that spectrum was for it to be something amazing. That was definitely what he was seeing right now.
Walking to stand behind where Demi was seated on the couch, his hand came down to rest on her shoulder, fingers tracing over her pulse point. Until just a few minutes ago things had been hot and heavy between them, and his mindset hadn't moved away from that just yet. Even if he had to go back to work, he was going to keep enjoying his last few moments with Demi. Just in a different way than he thought, thanks to Lita's impromptu appearance.
"That's a little dramatic, don't you think?" He asked, looking down at Demi, rolling his eyes, before turning his attention back on Lita. "Well, there's always a lot of paperwork. But I also oversee the cases in my department as well as research and argue my own cases." A lot of what they were working on pertained to the Hellhounds but that was a subject that was strictly off limits in Casa Callahan thanks to the woman he shared his bed with. "What about you? What kind of doctor are you? Or maybe were you?" He asked, a bit of uncertainty in his voice. "I mean, you probably had a specialty back in the day but now medical personnel is more limited so you might be doing stuff you didn't before. Okay, yeah, over explanation," he said before finally shutting his mouth.
