He'd collected the trail of destruction they'd left on their way to the bedroom as he walked there and once the door was closed, lifted a hand to rub it over his face. He was thankfully calming down -- opening the door and coming face to face with a stranger would do that to a guy -- but still had all kinds of tension coursing through his veins. He and Demi would just have to resume their activities later.
In a way it was a bit of a blessing that Lita interrupted them because he had been gone from work for an awfully long time. Even if he was Deputy Commissioner, or maybe because he was Deputy Commissioner, he still had to put in his time and do his work. Sneaking off to his apartment for an afternoon quickie was a bit counter productive on that front.
He took the time to change back into his work clothes, smoothing out a few wrinkles in his slacks and re-tying the tie he'd so hastily discarded earlier, before deeming hiself appropriate to meet with company.
Fully aware that Demi and Lita had most likely been gossiping about what just happened, he cleared his throat before reentering the living room. Yeah, this was much better... He was dressed and wasn't a panting mess in front of a stranger. Super awesome.
"So, Lita, this is what I look like with a shirt on. Good to meet you," he said, giving a sheepish shrug. They were all adults here. No need to act totally fucking awkward about it.
