The lack of crying, the assertion to tell Savannah the truth and the consumption of the delicious chemical concoction known as moonpies made made Lita feel like she had somehow gotten through to Olivia. Lita wasn't sure how...she wasn't big on sharing, or feeling feelings, or imparting wisdom but she had done all three in the span of a few minutes and it had worked. Lita didn't understand how but she wasn't about to question it.
"Save one for me, nerd," Lita warned, pointing a pseudo-stern finger at Olivia and then at the pile of moonpies.
Lita stood up from the bed, walked over to her desk, picked up her paperwork, and sat back down at the foot of the bed. She leaned against the bedpost and balanced her files on her lap, snagging a moonpie for herself and shoving about half into her mouth before chewing. She thought about saying something, anything, to diffuse the silence but after a few moments she was surprised to discover she didn't find the quiet all that uncomfortable. In fact...it was kind of nice.
