Lita couldn't help but roll her eyes at Olivia's insinuation and the pissy tone in which she delivered it.
"Contrary to popular belief, Savannah is not the boss of me," Lita scoffed, putting her hand on the small of the girl's back lightly as she took another wobbly step up. "I am the boss of me and, right now, I'm the boss of you, too and not because someone told me to. But because you are hurt I am a great fucking doctor. If anyone is going to get you up and running around again as quick as possible, it's going to be me. Just not today. Come on, you got this."
Lita's small cheer of encouragement might have been lost on the surly Olivia but it seemed the younger woman was determined to be antagonistic no matter what she said. She was entitled to it, certainly. Didn't mean it would change how Lita treated her, though.
"Scouting stuff isn't dumb," Lita replied evenly. She wasn't just shoveling on a load of horseshit either. Scouting was a dangerous job and was often met with little thanks, even after a job well done. "...and I'm gonna have to disagree with you on it not being important. Could've been food, could've been medicine. Hell, it could've been a stack of Playboys. People need stuff. It's all important. But if you don't feel like talking about it, I'm not going to badger you. None of my business."
Lita watched as Liv took another hesitant step. Even thought she'd only just started on them, Lita can already tell she's getting better at using them. After a few days she'd be a regular pro. It wasn't running a marathon or anything but one step at a time.
"You can't have any booze right now because it would conflict with your painkillers but I got a stash of moonpies no one knows about. If you pull back on the attitude I might be willing to part with a few."
