Erik had taken his gun back out the moment he saw the man round the corner, but Nate had managed to take care of him with little to no problem. Without a word, he went back to the explosive at hand.
He was done by the time Bishop showed up. “We’re done here,” he said, getting up from his crouch, “Ready to move onto the next house when you are.” He didn’t know what he was feeling right now. Tense? Yeah. He was going to go with tense. That was a close call. It was the first hiccup of the night.
He had expected that they would hit a few bumps along the road. After all, it would be unrealistic to think that they would be able to go through every single house without a problem. It was all based on luck and chance, and he was hoping that they would have fortune on their side for at least the greater portion of their task. Unfortunately, they were barely second house in and trouble was already happily waiting for them inside.
“Is everyone okay?” He asked as he looked between them. He had managed to get out of that sudden shootout without a scratch, but, frankly, he was more relieved that none of the bullets had hit the bomb. That wouldn’t have ended well for any of them. “Two down, four more to go,” he said more to himself than anyone else, “Let’s go?”
[ooc; Sorry for how long this took! I promise I'll try to be less fail with life. orz]
