Phone call
To: Michelle Kingston
From: Shiloh Kingston
When: About three hours after this.

-ring-

-sounds of the phone fumbling as its picked up before a hurried breath- “Shiloh?!”

“Mi-michelle.” Shiloh’s voice is hoarse and her breathing shallow. “I don’t... are you – are you there?”

“Shiloh, oh my god.” A brief pause, she’s so relieved to hear her sister’s voice she actually blasphemed. “Yes! Yes I’m here, are you - Where are you?!”

“I’m... I’m home.” Her voice cracks, like she’s about to cry. She’s half relieved and half terrified. Mostly she’s just confused. “What, um. What day is it? How long have I been...” She trails off, unable to continue.

”What do you mean what day-” A long, deep breath. “A month. You’ve been... you’ve been gone a month. Where the Hell have you been?”

There’s a very long pause. Shiloh can’t answer. Until finally she does, in a very small voice. “C-could you come over, baby angel? Please? I’m just... I’m so tired. I wanna sleep. I just want to sleep.”

A short pause, then in a much softer tone. “Of course I can. I’ll be there in two seconds.” Another pause. “Please don’t go anywhere.”

“I won’t.” Shiloh’s so quiet, she almost sounds like a child. “I missed you. I’m sorry.”

”Missed you too, big sis. Don’t be sorry, just stay there. I’m popping in. Love you.” -clicks-

Shiloh doesn’t hang up the phone. She drops it, just before Michelle appears.
