A package arrived for K. Polivander at his home address on February 13, 2010. The object was wrapped in brown paper, and while Kai's address was written in, the place for a name and return address bore only an odd string of numbers: 10-0-11-0-0 by 0-2 from Galactic Zero Centre. As the post probably wouldn't have gotten delivered with a 'non-existent' return address, it's probably safe to assume that Lin dropped it off himself. (Plus, well, it's Sunday.)
Inside the brown wrapping is a brown box, and inside the brown box are several items:
→ An original copy of Su Song's Xin Yi Xiang Fa Yao, which was published in 1092 and today contains the oldest existing printed star maps.
→ A TARDIS card. Inside is a photograph of the Suzhou Creek in Shanghai, which was once called the Song River. The inscription on the card is a set of coordinates. The location is a restaurant on Suzhou Creek, the time is around 7:00 pm on February 14, 2010. Beneath the coordinates, a short note, "You can call if you'd rather not come, but I'd like to apologise in person."
Either the thought that Kai might ignore the apology altogether had not crossed Lin's mind, or he was trying to be optimistic and didn't mention it in his note.
