I've had people looking into the circumstances surrounding Knox's [...] unfortunate demise the last few days. I think it's reasonable to assume at this juncture that members are being singled out and operate accordingly.

My resources are yours, whatever you may need them for in your department's efforts moving forward. It also may prove beneficial to speak more on these issues privately, just the two of us.

I'd like to not bother her with the details of this if it's not immediately necessary. ~~She's likely to overreact~~

I've been operating under that assumption since the incident; I appreciate the confirmation, however, as I prefer to avoid uncertainty. We will increase security for key individuals and locations.

I would be an idiot if I didn't take advantage of that generous offer, and one thing I don't tolerate being called is an idiot. I believe I'm correct in assuming that it would be better to have this discussion away from the office. If you would rather not use your place of business as a meeting point, I also assume that you already know where I live, since you're excellent at your job.

Understood and fully agreed. I'm certain we can handle this without her assistance.
