A community is reeling after what appears to be a savage animal attack on an orphanage, authorities say. St. Joseph's Orphanage, a staple in the small Connecticut town of Hartford, was discovered a bloody mess this morning when a young woman came for the shift change.
"It was awful. Blood was everywhere. It got through the window in the back, see? There's broken glass all over there. The poor children..."
The initial estimates place at least six dead, and twelve others in critical condition. Police advise all in the area to keep their windows and doors locked until the animal, described by a survivor as a very large wolf, is apprehended.
