Hi.
Austin. Aus. Adam. AC. Cole. Hey you with the hair. Let’s be real, I’ll answer to anything.

... BAYBAY.

Great beard. Adorable dimples. Baby blue eyes. Suspiciously white teeth. Oh, and I wrestle occasionally.

Just my standard introduction. Hit me with your best, even if I know you.

obviously they'd have to be a fan of snowballing chaos. that was almost as slick as a stage drenched in sugar water. i'll let you have this win, you with the hair.

dare i ask what makes it so fascinating? the fun in layers is peeling them away. i find the subjectivity found in flaws is the most interesting. why someone's considering x, y, and z as flaws, what it tells us about them, what our take on it tells us about ourselves. all out of questions? color me surprised.

I’ll take any win I can get from the best kind of trouble. Walk a bit taller, smile a bit wider, flick my hair a bit more exaggeratedly.

If you ask a million people what they’re drawn to, I would think that would be said in one case. You. Considered answers and honesty that shows intellect are enough to keep me captivated until all hours of the morning. I didn’t need to ask another question. Once the conversation gets flowing, the answers are revealed without the direction. Of course, as I say this, another question arises. What’s your most obvious flaw?

is it even possible to exaggerate it more? i'd like to see that.

the all night, proverbial piles of paperwork lifestyle really lends itself to considering the big questions, otherwise i suppose there'd be a chance i'd have fluffier answers on tap. some people would probably prefer it that way but i rarely have a reason to lie and fluffy is only attractive on animals. i don't always know when to quit, which should really be stated as i don't always quit even when i know i should, because knowing and doing are on distinctly different levels.

Oh yeah. When it’s silky smooth and freshly cleaned and dried. That’s a fluffy that’s very cute and not an animal.

So what are the reasons that you do have to lie? Doesn’t lie, doesn’t quit even if you know when you should. What a puzzle coming together you are. You seem poised and confident, so I also have to ask, what’s one thing that throws you off kilter? What makes you fumble your words and get cotton mouthed?

so what i'm hearing is that i can see this majesty by hanging around long enough and in the right places backstage. also you definitely don't turn into a cat when someone touches it.

why does anyone lie? loyalty, love, a defense mechanism of preservation for others and self preservation. three of those i consider good reason, the fourth is the basis for quite a few lies whether we want to see it or not; for me it's rarely used and doesn't fall under the "good reason" umbrella yet needs to be acknowledged for the answer to be truthful. are you seeing a picture yet or are you still flipping all of the pieces upright? when someone unexpectedly sees through a facade i'm throwing. the irony isn't lost on me.

There is only so much fluffy brilliance one can get out of locker room showers. The pressure in my house is far greater so the volume is much more impressive. And look, maybe I arch my back and dance on my claws with the right amount of scratching or petting.

You think people lie for love? I’ve always thought that love is one of the most truthful things we still do as humans. There’s no cover, if you truly love something it’s not a lie. It’s a feeling. It’s an emotion. It’s something true to you, the opposite of a lie. I feel like I’ve found the corners, but it might be one of those two sided puzzles, so I’m not even sure i have the four pieces I’ve found the right way around. Where is the front of the box to copy the picture?

uh huh. maybe. and how many times a week do you strut around the house practicing those moves?

oh no, i agree with what you're saying. love isn't the lie. but love makes us push, or at least redefine, all of our boundaries, don't you think? every day people do ridiculous and crazy things for love so lying for someone you love isn't so far-fetched when you're in a situation that calls for it, even if it's something you wouldn't normally do otherwise. boxes are for chumps, not champs. keep studying, you've almost got it.

If you're going to keep your playlist a secret, I'll have to keep my strutting schedule a secret.

Hmmm. Maybe. I think people lie for a couple of f-words. Fear and fun. Some people get a kick out of lying, a poor mans form of manipulation. I think the love theory fits into fear. You think I've almost got it, or almost got the corners the right way up? I don't think I'm even close to having it, but I think that's the way you like it.

hmm. i'll need to have my people look over this trade agreement. i'll get back to you tomorrow.

that's a succinct way of putting it. i like it. you've almost got the corners the right way up. i'm not infinitely complex, just exceedingly difficult.

Bring your best negotiators to the table. I'll be representing myself, and putting this smile against anyone who isn't highly qualified just isn't a fair fight.

Haha, that made me laugh. You're one of those puzzles that have the triangle and weird shapes, aren't you? The squares with the little dips and curves aren't enough for you, you probably don't even have corners, it's all an illusion.

So the people you're having look over the trade agreement are just there because you have better things to spend your time on?

Fluff it up. Strut with it. It's all in the hips. Not so much, but I'm a quick study. I'll have your corners rounded and your triangles joined in no time.

dazzling smiles are good cajole and distract tools but i like knowing all of my strategic options.

i haven't had a good strut in a while. i might have to give someone the smug bitch face when i'm done. sounds like a good time. i'm into it.

It's pretty rare I have to go beyond. You'd better be prepared, and be a master at it.

Nothing like it. Especially if you get the right tune to go along with it. Shoulders back, chin up, head bobbed so the hair sways. No one worth their salt should go too long.

i believe my rarity has already been established. maybe you're the one looking to prepare.

who hasn't spent hours that amount to days worth of combing through their music collection to find just the right tune to perfect the strut routine? i definitely wouldn't get along with that person.

Just call me Scar. A shining new era is tiptoeing nearer.

Hours that amount to days? Damn, and we were getting along so well. If you don't know immediately, there's no chance for us. Too bad.

I know it sounds sordid, but you'll be rewarded.

The promise of the champagne room with an imagined soundtrack and an exceedingly difficult lock sequence to enter. Doomed from the start.

You're welcome. I'm a regular in heads late at night, or so I've heard.

Am I just? We'll have to see about that. There's only so much mystery before it gets like banging up against a brick wall, and I'd always prefer to have a body between me and the wall.
