"He didn't miss his anniversary," Lo told Isaac quietly. And Rives hummed a 'nope' in the backseat. "It's next Wednesday."
Rives smiled fondly and nodded, "We met in Canada, sixteen years ago. He was skateboarding, you know, and he was awful. Like - really terrible at it. He was going down the street and tripped over the curb. He hit his head on a fire hydrant and I called an ambulance." He laughed a little at the memory. "He called me 'mom' when he woke up, he was so out of it. I was in love with him two weeks later. Have been ever since." He sighed and pressed his head against the window, still smiling. "Can't wait to see him again."
"And you're making poor Isaac listen to your story," Lo told him with a small laugh. Really though, she just didn't want him to feel guilty. That was in the past.
"Do you want to take Tyler with you?" She asked, her voice quiet again.
